I have been trying all week to make this recipe but could not find the time. It was actually supposed to be a try at mascarpone mousse with honey balsamic strawberries as a topping, but I was afraid that the strawberries would go bad (or Peanut would steal them one by one) before I had the chance to carry out my dessert, so I decided to make the strawberries and worry about the mousse later.
Since the only thing I’ve ever put balsamic vinegar on is tomatoes for bruschetta, I was rather leery of trying this, but there’s like a million recipes online so somebody somewhere knew what they were talking about. These are super simple and mind-blowingly delicious. I’m sure I’m telling my age, but they actually reminded me of fruit roll-ups (do they still make those? LOL)! I swear, the only thing missing was a slice of pound cake. If you need a quick sweet tooth fix, these strawberries will not disappoint!
